Investing in things or other people is a good thing, because you can rely on them for decent returns, if the ‘clockwork’ in the mix is efficient. In a relay race, each person runs their course and passes on the baton to another. The individual distance run by each individual is much smaller compared to the sum of all put together. My point is that a long distance or marathon runner usually covers the whole distance alone. I believe that you cannot afford to let yourself down.
You have sole responsibility for your success, and it is only you who knows how far you want to go and at what speed. I’m not suggesting that teamwork and collective responsibility is a bad thing, no. Even with a team, there is an expectation that each individual will have a reasonable input in order for the organisation’s forecasts to be realised to an impressive level. The year has just started and you know where you want to be by the end of it.
Whatever you do, it is helpful and greatly rewarding to continually invest in yourself. Allotting time, money, effort or resources are all things that cannot go to waste if you are investing in yourself. Hence my belief that the best investment is in yourself, it is very securely attached to you.
I wish you well.
Have you ever felt as though your dream is being frustrated or even seemingly dead? If so, rest assured that your dream can be revived to vibrancy. Even butterflies, amphibians and reptiles hibernate; and when they do, it does not mean that they are extinct.
A frustrated dream is not necessarily a dead dream; that is just an interlude. You are not vanquished and can therefore give your dream the oomph it needs. You just need to make better use of the amalgam of strategy and tactics. Sun Tzu, a military strategist who wrote a book titled ‘The Art of War’ informs us that: “Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory, and tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat”.
You are an individual who is well skilled and whole in spirit, ready to march forward in the business, scholastic or philanthropic world. The best direction is forward, not retreating or, ‘advancing backwards’, which is actually retreat but put differently. Being alert and astute can give you leverage and help to tip the scales in your favour, soldier on…
If you love what you do, just bear in mind that determination plus hard work, minus laziness equals success; there you have a working formula. As the year winds down, your mind and body clock should not do so by default; it is the year that is winding down, not your mind and dream. It is an equally opportune time to put your best foot forward, go ahead.
I wish you well.
A visionary is one who is ahead of his/her time in a creative and imaginative way, with a grand future plan for positive change. Being a visionary puts you in the league of individuals that easily see what some people struggle to imagine. Examples of such individuals include: Thomas Alva Edison, Mark Zuckerberg, Sergey Brin and Larry Page. So, just be you and aspire to make both a living and a positive difference in people’s lives in whatever you choose to do.
Each of these visionaries had a great vision in their time. They deemed their plans to be important. However, their visions may not have been pleasant to all ears. One of the ways to avoid upsetting some individuals is by doing nothing important. If you choose not to do anything important, you may be endeared by many, but at what opportunity cost? Your progress and the potential beneficiaries from it!
So, how do you navigate the choppy seas of diverse interests? I believe that if you are to stay the course, it is best to keep a safe distance between you and those that belittle your ambitions. It helps to smooth your journey to greatness, remember that nothing worth having comes easily. Ensure that any traction is in your desired direction, by delineating between movement and progress.
I wish you well.
Be it academia, business, civil service, charity, whatever you are doing; doing it diligently is a real investment. Your skill base is incrementally helping your cause. Talking of business acumen, you are in a position to make quick decisions with good judgement; decisions that you do not live to regret because they were sound, underpinned by good ration. Your experience speaks volumes and is one to draw knowledge from by those that you mentor or help. You are well positioned to take preventative measures to allay fears, failure or losses; because of your invaluable experience. Inversely, you have a breadth of knowledge regarding any cathartic measures if need be; again, due to your experience.
Textual information that is conflated by external or third parties and presented to you for whatever reason is easily perused by you. Quick and timely sound decisions arrived at for the benefit of your organisation and clients. Overtime, you accumulated a wealth of different types of intelligence: social intelligence, artificial intelligence, business intelligence, political and perhaps, spiritual intelligence. Truly, you are intellectually well equipped to carryout your duties and get ahead in your endeavours.
Your input really matters, yes it does; I can relate to that. I know that in my line of business my input matters. Your input adds value to your service provision; this may seem a subtle reality for some, but it is nonetheless a reality to be acknowledged and celebrated. Your input is value addition which constitutes the different things that you do at the various stages.
You are a force to be reckoned with, do not undermine or underestimate yourself. It is not wise to devalue yourself, because you matter, you are an established change agent; change for the better. You have put yourself, your organisation and clients are in better stead; what a wonderful change agent you are. Thank you. Your input adds value and prognosticates success; just keep it up, because it can only get better.
I wish you well.
Commonly, our individuality is characterised by wishes, goals and aspirations. I’m yet to meet a person who has no wishes or aspirations whatsoever. More often than not, the individual has an intended life or business trajectory that he/she would like to follow through. However, for best results, the minute specifics in the course of the said trajectory/life plan may need some refining and polishing. My reference to refining and polishing is that at times, little or no attention is paid to the possibility of the hurdles, twists and turns as in time and space.
Tempestuous moments are not in all situations but a mere possibility in some, and should not be overlooked when we are deeply immersed in harmonics. Yes, having contingency plans or measures are a clever thing to do; paying attention to those ‘blind spots’ and ‘dips’. Crop farmers like having rain on a regular basis because of the benefits derived therefrom. However they are also mindful of the possibility of thunder and lightning, and their ancillary effects. Buildings have lightening rods or lightening conductors that interface with the earth in the event of lightening; that is a contingency measure.
Please do not allow your mind to harbour pessimism, no. Your plan/project is work in progress, do not cease to plan until your goals are realised. Additionally, you are not obliged to lay open your ‘pack of cards’ for others to evaluate. You are a good strategist and optimist, who is also realistic; this helps the feasibility and viability of your plans. You are a good leader who takes steps to be risk averse or, at least safety measures for potential risk which may not always translate into actual risk.
You are the mastermind of your projects, you know what to do as and when the need arises, including the professional input you can enlist, mine inclusive, if you so wish. The excitement that comes with success in a particular field, business or project is euphoric, a well deserved feeling.
I wish you well.
I believe that cutting your losses and letting your profits run is a helpful thing to do; additionally, you should know when to do so. You are emancipated and freed to think and work on master plans and projects that are grander and beneficial to society. You are now wearing your actual shoe size, because you were previously “wearing” a size or two smaller than what befits you. It is often a way to doing greater things life, in perhaps a more rewarding and fulfilling way.
You are more equipped than you think. Firstly, you have knowledge and skills to date and you cannot unlearn what you already know. Deploy your knowledge, skills talent and experience in a different capacity; the rewards are always waiting to be received. Looking from an economics focal point, take into consideration the micro and macro, society will be appreciative of your work and diligence. Do your maths: Among other things, you are now more able to use your intellectual capacity to a greater extent ( – ) undue stress ( + ) better prospects ( + ) a better quality of life ( + ) appreciation of your clients/customers or patients = success.
Focus on your life task and let your failures inspire you. Despair should not be an option, just drive your wishes and aspirations through the one-way street of hope. Having hope opens up many possibilities, including opportunities to explore along the way and having realistic speculations that come to fruition in due course. A good strategy with realistic and not outlandish targets is helpful.
Surely, if your desire is to be successful in life, it may then be worth noting that you can get to your preferred destination. Yes you can, just get in lane onto the one way street of hope, you are on the right trajectory, just power on and success will be your crown. Reconstitute yourself, be in the fast lane and disprove those who did not believe in you. You thought you could be successful, yes you can, be ready to reap big, stand tall and enjoy your blessings!
