2017+ My Rightful Place is At The High Table

2017

Metaphorically speaking, in years past during my infancy I was given things to eat, which I ingested without chewing.  The meaning here is that I accepted things without the necessary analysis to inform me, regardless of whether the things were good for me or not.  In infancy we start with no teeth, hence the reality of ingesting food without chewing.  As I grew older, I developed a set of teeth to chew what I ate before swallowing; this is the sense of ration and analysis.

As years progressed, a set of wisdom teeth developed. I became mindful and reflective, in addition to being rational, intuitive and analytical.  The saying: “older and wiser” is very apt in this context.  With reference to one’s age, the most common question is “how old are you?”  This leads one to infer that the older one gets, the wiser he/she is expected to be; yes, it is a general expectation.

Expectations versus reality can have different outcomes for different individuals, including situations that are circumstantial and beyond one’s ability to have leverage.  Ordinarily, however, some individuals may inadvertently compromises themselves and are often short-changed by not realising their true worth.  As of now, if you are in business and act on your business plan/s, for those in academia, if do your scholarly work with due attention, you are more than half way there.

My work ethic in business is an amalgam of action (-) mediocrity (+) mindfulness (+) intuition (+) ration (+) reflection (+) analysis (=) realisation of my true potential and worth.  Therefore my rightful place is at the high table, not at a lower tier table among crowds, nor among those seated on floor.

I wish you a happy and prosperous new year.

Determination + Constancy + Optimism

If you give up every time you don’t achieve the immediate gain you want, you’re just guaranteeing that the worst is going to happen.” – Noam Chomsky

Life and its intricacies include learning curves that need to be navigated skilfully; with determination, constancy and optimism, in order to have desired outcomes.   You cannot guarantee that all that you do will not have any hiccup/s.  However you should endeavour to ensure your unwavering determination and input, in order to have your desired outcome/s.  Pertinent to the process of striving, is avoidance of mediocrity and not being cheated into settling for less than what you truly deserve.  Be determined in pursuit of the expansion of your business ventures, good health, scholarly attainments or provision of good leadership.

Your determination will prevail over the subversive whispers in your mind.  Empirically, the pessimist associate’s message to you regarding your endeavour/s is often similar to the inhibiting whispers.  In these circumstances the choice you need to make does not need any more clarity… optimism.  A simple challenge to the inhibiting insinuations is to enumerate a few of your achievements and then know that it is possible to achieve things.  The rationale here is that the pessimist wants to take you down the road of: ”give up.”  If you went down that road, it would not facilitate achievement in your undertakings.  Therefore your achievements exhibit the fact that it is possible to attain your goals.  Once you are clear about what you want to achieve, your brain will be a conduit and receptacle for the specifics of how you navigate your way to achievement.

In the midst of your endeavours, there could be a glitch or two.  The glitch means that it is a simple endurance test which you should pass by affirming that: “you will not distract me, I will maintain my constancy.”  In acting this way you will have decapitated the glitch/s; and this sends an exemplary message to any other potential glitch.  The resultant effect is that it will be plain sailing for you to your desired achievement.  You may now concur with me that determination, constancy and optimism facilitate attainment; and if so, good riddance.

I wish you well in your business ventures, quest for good health and wellness, scholarly attainment, happiness and good leadership.
